Children and Youth

“....from childhood you have known the sacred writings that are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work.”

2 Timothy 3:15–17

Confirmation

Confirmation Classes are held on the second Sundays of each month from 10:30 am-12 noon, October-May. Occasionally, we will be traveling off-site for retreats and overnight/special events (rather than holding traditional class). Confirmation is a two-year program for students 12 years and up (parents and students can choose to begin instruction either in 7th or 8th grade). Eligible students will be confirmed on Pentecost Sunday of their second year of instruction. Confirmation instruction is currently led by the Director of Faith Formation, Karolin Brechbill.

NEW this year! Pastor Matt will be teaching a confirmation-style class for parents and adults concurrent with the youth classes. All are welcome!

Pentecost Sunday is May 16, 2027.

All volunteers and paid staff associated with children and/or youth of CLC are screened utilizing PA State Police Criminal Background Check and the PA State Child Abuse Background Check.
